Dyson BranWorld at PluggedIn
At Dyson, we invent. We reinvented the vacuum cleaner, created the world's first bladeless fan and the fastest, most hygienic hand dryer.
We start with a problem. Something that frustrates or nags because it doesn't work properly. It could be an everyday object. Then we figure out how to make it work better.
Dyson engineers put thousands of prototypes through hundreds of thousands of tests. It took 5 years and 5127 prototypes before James Dyson launched the world's first bagless vacuum cleaner.
Nothing is taken for granted. From the material used for the on/off switch to the way air moves through the cyclones. Our team of 450 engineers constantly scrutinize, test, reinvent and refine.
And we don't stop there. Once customers start using our machines, we help to maintain them. Our award winning Customer Care team based in Wiltshire, provides Dyson owners with advice, information and support from 7am to 10pm every day. And if something can't be solved over the phone, then a Dyson engineer will be with you at home or work within 72 hours.
Always looking at different ways to apply Dyson technology, Dyson engineers create a hot air balloon using the Dyson Hot™ fan heater.
When Dyson engineers first unveiled DC15, the first upright vacuum to sit on a ball, they introduced a new way to turn corners. Conventional upright vacuums are awkward to steer because they use fixed wheels. To move around obstacles you have to go back and forth, back and forth. Dyson Ball™ vacuums can turn on the spot.

Even though some cleaners may look similar, the performance can be very different. Our latest TV advert is aimed at helping you understand the difference between Dyson technology and other brands.
At Dyson we’ve just launched our latest new technology, the Dyson Hot™ fan heater. It looks very different to a conventional fan heater. And it works very differently too.
The question of which vacuum cleaner to purchase is essentially one of personal choice. It will depend on the type of flooring you have in your home, whether you or a member of your household suffers with allergies, or if you have any pets.

The Dyson Air Multiplier™ fans draw in up to 33 litres of air per second at their base. This air is then accelerated through an annular aperture, creating a jet of air which passes over an airfoil-shaped ramp, channelling its direction. Surrounding air is drawn into the airflow, amplifying it by up to 18 times. The result: a steady stream of smooth air.
First we took the bags out of vacuum cleaners. Then we took the blades out of fans. At Dyson we’re inventors. We start with a problem. Something that frustrates or nags because it doesn’t work properly. It could be an everyday object. Then we figure out how to make it work better.
