Zelda, Tom Clancy… The Best Wii U Game Trailers

The Wii U looks set to hit our stores next year, with Nintendo giving us a powerful new controller complete with a touchscreen and a powerful processor.

There is no official release date as yet for the new console. But we are expecting a summer 2012 release, in Japan at least.

So just how good is the Wii U going to be? Well, judging from the game trailers that have already been released, it is going to offer Wii gamers a whole new experience.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon

Demonstrating how multiplayer games will work on the Wii U, with each player using the screen on the controller while also using their TV, this Tom Clancy game looks great.

It is a pretty cringe-worthy advert, with the poor acting and awful script that we’ve come to expect from Nintendo adverts. But that doesn’t stop the fact that this looks like a typically awesome Tom Clancy game.

Wii U Zelda

This demo from E3 earlier this year has got gamer really excited, with over one million views on YouTube.

The Zelda series has a habit of making the most out of Nintendo games, and this one looks no different. The new controller looks like it might take some getting used to, but the possibilities it offers are endless.

Wii U trailer

We thought we’d throw this one in for good measure, just in case you weren’t sure what all the fuss surrounding the Wii U was all about.

Demonstrating all kinds of new features, from simple games played just on the new controller, to fully blown titles that require a TV screen.

It is clear that Nintendo want this to be less of just a games console and more of a fully-blown home entertainment system, allowing users to watch TV and surf the net in between games.
