What do we know about Grand Theft Auto 5?

Grand Theft Auto fans will be on the edge of their seats as they watch the trailer for the latest installment of the GTA series of games, which is out next year.

The trailer tells the story of a guy who ‘wanted to retire, be a regular guy and buy a big house’. Of course, all does not go to plan and in true GTA style it all kicks off.

The one thing on everybody’s mind is the setting.

The new game is, in fact, revisiting San Andreas.

Gamers took to the internet in their thousands over the last few months to speculate over where the location will be for the latest GTA game.

One rumour that was floating around was that the game was going to take place entirely in Los Angeles, with the actual structure of the city mapped out.

Other rumours circulating suggested that the location would be a combination of cities influenced by London and Detroit.

The trailer was launched worldwide at 4pm UK time.

Game bloggers and fans are now speculating if the Call of Duty boys should be worried as GTA V is set to be one of the biggest games of the year. Will it live up to its reputation?

Download only?

Another rumour is that it will be a ‘download only’ game. Although Rockstar has not confirmed anything on this subject, one website reported that the CEO of market research company Fewzoo has said that it will be a disc free game.

It’s been ten years since Rockstar Games unleashed GTA III to the unsuspecting public and it was 1997 when the first GTA game made such a significant impact on the gaming world.

The gaming world is now gripped on the new trailer, waiting to see what the latest installment of the brand will bring. Until then all we can do is sit back, relax and enjoy the trailer.
