The latest addition to the Samsung Galaxy range, the Samsung Galaxy Note, will be available in the UK from 17th November, 2011.
Samsung have high hopes for the Galaxy Note which will combine the ‘benefits of a notebook with the portability of a smartphone.’
Largest mobile phone screen
The Note has a 5.3” HD Super AMOLED screen, which Samsung claims is the largest, highest quality display available in any phone. Consumers should be able to view movies, photos, and documents, as well as play games on the device with crystal-clear clarity.
The Galaxy Note also has advanced pen-input technology, called the S Pen, and a full touch screen.
Samsung’s fastest smartphone
With a 1.4GHz dual-core processor, the Galaxy Note is Samsung’s fastest handset to date. It features a HSPA+ enabled super-fast connection for increased download speeds when streaming videos or chatting with friends online. It operates on the Gingerbread operating system, OS Android 2.3.
It also has an 8 MP camera, with LED flash and the ability to shoot MPEG4 videos, playing 1080p @ 30fps.
The Note comes with 16/32GB Internal Memory + microSD (up to 32GB). It is compact, too: 146.85 x 82.95 x 9.65 mm in size. As you’d expect from a Samsung phone access to the Samsung App Marketplace is also available via the device, too.
“We’re delighted with the overwhelming reception the Galaxy Note has received since it was announced earlier this month and are looking forward to offering Samsung customers a whole new smartphone experience,” said Simon Stanford, Managing Director, Mobile, Samsung UK and Ireland.
Combining the best of smartphones and laptops
“The Galaxy Note is a great example of Samsung’s passion for innovation by bringing to market a brand new category of mobile products. It is our fastest handset to date and brings together all the benefits of our award-winning smartphone technology and services.”
