Rockstar’s Max Payne 3 has been knocked off the UK gaming chart top spot by Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Future Soldier.
The Ubisoft title took the number 1 spot in both the individual and multiformat charts in what had previously been a relatively slow week of sales for the UK gaming industry. Proving this, despite a fall in over 50% in sales, Max Payne still managed to bag the number 2 spot.
New chart entries
Third and fourth spots in the multiformat chart went to Dragon’s Dogma and DiRT Showdown with FIFA 12 rounding up the top 5.
After a record breaking opening week for Blizzard Entertainment‘s Diablo III, sales took a hit which resulted in the game dropping to 9th place just ahead of the second FIFA title, FIFA Street bringing up the rear of the top 10.
A new release scheduled for Friday, and one which could change the chart balance is the PS VITA first person shooter Resistance: Burning Skies.
