TIPA Award Winners 2011 Announced

Looking for a camera or camera accessory that you know can do a real good job, perhaps even one recommended by professionals? Well, this year’s prestigious TIPA Awards have just been announced to make your life easier when it comes to deciding what to buy.

The Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) Awards, an association made up 30 member photo and imaging magazines from 5 continents and 15 worldwide countries are a prestigious awards, widely regarded as among the most coveted photo and imaging awards worldwide.

Each year the association’s annual awards bestow accolades for innovation, ergonomics, design, ease-of-use, efficiency, price/performance ratio and more.

In the last 21 years the association has made more than 430 awards for innovative products from more than 70 different global companies.

The awards appear to be good news for many manufacturers, including Sony, who picked up two awards for best imaging innovation and Best Expert Camcorder, as well as Canon, who picked up an impressive four awards for Best Professional Lens,  Best D-SLR Entry Level,  Best Multifunction Photo Printer and Best Superzoom Camera.

Fujifilm picked up three awards for Best Photo Service, Best Premium Camera,  Best Retail Finishing System. Other awards also went to the likes of Nikon, LG, Olympus, Samsung, JVC, Panasonic, Casio and Kodak. The full list of winners is detailed below:
