ASUS have launched a new Google Android tablet, the Eee Pad Slider, complete with slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

Having already announced the launch of the Eee Pad Transformer Prime, the next generation in the Eee Pad Transformer tablet range, which once again features a keyboard dock to let you switch between laptop and tablet modes, ASUS have now launched a new, super-slick tablet, too.

ASUS claim that the new Eee Pad Slider offers users ‘a fast, slick user experience for web, movies, sharing and work.’

It comes complete with a NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core processor, 10 finger multi-touch support and ASUS Waveface.

Waveface allows for wirelessly streaming media content between devices around the home including desktops and TV, as well as services such as MyLibrary, a clever way to consolidate your must-read books and magazines into one easy-to-navigate profile. It supports PDF files, too.

Also included is MyCloud, which includes cloud storage of content for up to one year free of charge.

Polaris Office 3 is included on the Eee Pad Slider, too, making it possible to view and edit popular office formats such as PowerPoint, Excel and Word files. Great if you are out of the office and need to work remotely when on the go.

Apple iPad users frustrated by the absence of Flash on their devices may also be happy to hear that the new Eee Pad Slider features Adobe Flash, making it far easier to view video on numerous websites.

The Eee Pad Slider is preloaded with Google Android 3.1, though it does support an upgrade to 3.2 if need be. As with all Android devices the Eee Pad Slider has access to thousands of apps such as Angry Birds, Facebook and Twitter, as well as more games, news and useful apps than you can possible know what to do with.

To top it all off, Gorilla glass is in use for the display, which ASUS claim will give a scratch and worry resistant finish. The ASUS Eee Pad Slider is priced from around £429.99 and is available to buy now.
