This year has been a big one Samsung, with hugely anticipated device living up to their potential and selling by the shed-load.
With the Galaxy S3 a big hit around the world, and the recent launch of the Galaxy Nexus, you would imagine that is was more than safe for Samsung to take a few minutes to kick back, relax and revel in its continued success.
But not one to rest on its laurels, leaked specs suggests that the South Korean manufacturer has another model in the pipeline.
Codenamed the GT-I9260 “Nexus”, it has been suggested that the device is a hybrid of both the Galaxy Nexus and the Galaxy S3, with features crossing over between the models. So what does the leak tell us about the Nexus?
Samsung Nexus specs
According the leak, the Nexus will feature a 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED screen, delivering a resolution of at least 1280×720.
The model also looks set to feature a 1.5 dual-core A9 processor, along with 16GB of internal storage – though there is apparently space for an SD Card.
Elsewhere we have an 8MP rear-facing camera and a 1.9MP, which would put it on a par with the Galaxy S3.
Samsung Nexus leak – true or false?
Every so-called ‘leak’ in the world of technology should be taken with a pinch (if not more) of salt, and this one is no different.
There are some suspicious elements to this leak too, such as some apparent confusion over the screen. The HD Super AMOLED screen is referred to as a Super AMOLED HD screen – hardly a mistake that would be made on an internal Samsung document.
There is also not a single image of the device. Anywhere. All we have to go on is a spreadsheet of specs – highly suspicious.
Nevertheless, we wouldn’t be surprised if Samsung is continuing it assault on the smartphone market with the Nexus.
