Print from anywhere with HP ePrint

PRINT FROM ANYWHERE VIA EMAIL

Why would your printer need an email address? So you can send a photo or document to it from anywhere: you could be in the same room or on the other side of the world.

Printing to one of HP’s new ePrint-enabled printers is as easy as sending an email. You don’t need special software and the printer doesn’t need to be connected to a PC, just to the internet via a wireless or wired network. All you need is a device, like a smartphone or a laptop, that can send emails. And it’s a regular printer, too, so you can use it to print like you usually do.

Another benefit of these web-connected printers is that they can print web content directly, without a PC. They use apps – little programs – that connect to the web, grab content and print it automatically, formatted correctly for the paper. The are apps for travel, weather, news, puzzles, coupons, recipes, and you can choose the ones you’re most interested in.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

How can I protect my printer against spam?

There are three ways: the printer’s email address has a format that’s very hard to guess, or generate automatically; the HP ePrint service filters spam; and you can set up an allowed senders list.

What happens if the printer is turned off?

Your document is stored securely for 24 hours. If the printer isn’t switched on during that time, the print job is deleted.

Yes, print apps are only available for select HP web-connected Photosmart and Officejet all-in-one printers.

How much does ePrint cost?

What’s the difference between HP Photosmart and Officejet printers?

HP Photosmart printers are designed for families and creative individuals who print up to 10 pages a day and want to produce lab-quality photos. HP Officejet printers are designed for people who work from home, or run a small business, and print up to 50 pages a day.
