Any fans of the caped crusader, it’s time to get your wallets out. Nokia has announced it is releasing a Batman version of its Lumia 900 smartphone.
Talking to tech website Pocket-Lint, the Finnish mobile manufacturer said the limited edition Lumia 900 will go on sale in the coming weeks.
Presumably tying in with the upcoming release of The Dark Knight Rises, latest instalment in the new Batman franchise, the Lumia 900 could turn into something of a collector’s item.
Of course, a Batman-branded phone is not going to be to everyone’s taste. But any superhero fans are surely going to want to snap up the revamped device. So what do you need to know about the Nokia Lumia 900 Batman Edition?
Not the first Nokia Batman phone
Those of you with a memory will notice that this isn’t the first paring of the Dark Knight and the Finnish mobile giant.
Nokia has already released a limited edition Batman version of its Lumia 800 device. And when we say limited, we mean seriously limited.
Nokia made just 40 of the Lumia 800 Batman Edition, with the final one given away at a Nokia event. There’s no word on the numbers for the 900 yet, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it was a similar amount. So you’ll need to be extremely quick off the mark!
Nokia Lumia 900 Batman Edition features
The 900 Batman Edition will of course be largely the same as its non-Batman counterparts. But if the Lumia 800 is anything to go by, we could see some special extras included.
The 800 Batman Edition came in a custom box, and featured a Dark Knight app and Live Tile, as well as a number of custom wallpapers. There’s no news on whether the 900 will come with these extras, but it’s fairly likely.
