Next Generation Phone: LG Optimus 7

The LG Optimus 7 has recently launched in the UK with bags of new exciting apps and extended features on the mobile phone provider’s first Windows Phone 7 device.

The Optimus 7 is based on Microsoft’s new operating system so users can get to where they want to be in just a few steps.

Entertainment applications include DLNA-based Play To, ScanSearch, and Voice to Text, all of which can be accessed via integrated hubs. It also introduces Microsoft’s popular Xbox LIVE and Zune services so mobile phone users can have direct access to their favourite games and music through their phone wherever they are.

“LG is constantly pushing the envelope in mobile communications in order to elevate users’ experience with innovative technologies,” said Jeff Cheh, LG Electronics Singapore, managing director and CEO.

“Windows Phone 7 is designed to bring together what people care about most, and the Optimus 7 series builds on that to make everyday task easier by doing more in fewer steps,” added Natasha Kwan, Microsoft’s Mobile Communications Business in Asia, general manager.

Users can further use the entertainment device by creating digital content directly through the phone. The 720p HD video resolution enables sharp and easy recording of unmissable content with the extra ability to play it back with stunning visuals.

Furthermore if you want to spread your recently captured video, for example to show off your baby’s first steps, or embarrass a friend who just walked into a lamppost, you can share the video online through social media and offline on a TV through Play To.

The phone also provides the option to view your video in cinematic style for those next generation movie directors with its 16.9 aspect capture and playback. If sometimes a still is all you want, the LG Optimus does not fail on the camera mode either with an advanced 5MP camera included with extra technological enhancements, such as Intelligent Shot which helps those with shaky hands take the perfect shot.
