New Itablet Thumb Keyboard Launches

A new Bluetooth enabled device brings all the speed of writing emails with a proper keyboard to iPads, iPhones and other touch-screen devices.

iPads and iPhones, as well as all the other imitators quickly coming onto the market may well offer a new way of surfing the internet and browsing apps, music, movies and more, but one of the continual bug-bears for many users is that the touch-screen keyboard functions are not as good as conventional keyboards when it comes to sending emails or updating social networks such as Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin.

But a new device from AHX Global could be the answer to your email writing problems. The new itablet Thumb Keyboard is a new Bluetooth keyboard that has a patented rear-facing touchpad.

It is compatible with a wide range of Bluetooth-equipped devices including iPad, iPhone, tablet computers and mobile phones.  The device is also compatible with many IPTV systems, as well as gaming platforms such as the Sony PS3 and XBox 360.

The itablet Thumb Keyboard is battery operated and has been ergonomically designed to be comfortable to hold and easy to use. In a bid to protect their product the rear-facing touchpad design has been patented and provides fast and accurate cursor control using either index finger. The keys are backlit for use in low lighting conditions, too – great if you are out and about and in need of sending an important email or message.

The new keyboard is 150 x 90mm, so small enough to fit into a standard tablet carry bag.

“The Thumb Keyboard provides a fast and intuitive way to create emails, tweets, texts and documents,” said Francis Davis of AHX Global about the device.

“It is the perfect antidote to the awkward onscreen keyboards used to enter data and text into today’s mobile devices that do not have proper keyboards.”

This new keyboard is available in black or white versions with UK and USA keyboard layouts.

In case you wondering: AHX Global is a partnership between X2 Computing, a UK supplier of mobile computing solutions and AMtek Systems, a Taiwanese designer of tablet computers which first registered the itablet trademark in 2004.
