As another smartphone model targeting an already over-saturated market, the LG Optimus L5 has plenty of competition.
Already labelled as an affordable device with high-end aesthetics, we take a look at just what the Optimus L5 has to offer.
The biggest selling points of this model come in the form of the operating system and display. The phone runs the latest version of Google’s Android operating system and is powered by an 800 MHz processor.
LG Optimus L5 dimensions
Despite its 4-inch screen, the dimensions of the Optimus L5 are fairly compact. Measuring just 118x67mm, the phone is easy enough to transport whilst making operating the phone fairly easy.
In terms of thickness, the phone measures just 9.5mm. The overall aesthetics are attractive, with some claiming the phone resembles devices from the LG Chocolate range.
LG Optimus L5 entertainment
With a 5MP camera complete with LED flash, this phone clearly targets the mid-range market. While this resolution may fail to live up to the 8MP and 13MP cameras found on more expensive smartphones, it still competes adequately with a number of models.
The LED flash is a real advantage too, outperforming a number of other mid-range devices which fail to offer such features.
In terms of connectivity, the LG Optimus L5 offers Wi-Fi, 3G and Bluetooth connectivity. This is in addition to a built-in GPS navigation system. Numerous downloadable applications are also available to further enhance the features this phone offers.
LG Optimus L5 storage
In terms of storage, the phone comes with a fairly mediocre 4GB of internal memory. Thankfully, this can be expanded via a microSD slot, ensuring that there is plenty of space to store your files and photos.
LG Optimus L5 release date
Planned to hit UK shelves later this month, there has been no mention of the pricing for the Optimus L5 as of yet. However, based on the pricing structure for its sister devices, the L3 and L7, it can be assumed that the device will cost in the region of £160.
This applies to the single-SIM version of the model which will be released in the USA, UK and Europe. A dual-SIM version will be released in South America and Asia.
