Latest BlackBerry Bold: 2 New Smartphones

Research In Motion have presented two of the latest new BlackBerry Bold Smartphones to the market, featuring both the renowned keyboard with an additional touch screen.

Following the success of Apple’s iPhones, the nation is keen to get their hands on a touch screen phone, to keep in trend.  So BlackBerry has addressed this by accompanying their famously easy to use keyboard with a sleek touch screen.

The BlackBerry Bold 9900 and 9930 are the two new smartphones in question, both featuring the iconic BlackBerry design but also with a high resolution touch screen, to adapt to the user’s preference.

Perhaps users will use the touch screen for texting and the keyboard for email?  The options are endless.

“These fully-loaded and beautifully crafted smartphones offer a highly refined user experience with blazingly fast performance, a brilliant touch screen and an outstanding typing experience,” commented Mike Lazaridis, Research In Motion president and Co-CEO.

The new models are powered by the BlackBerry 7 operating system.  The look of the phones includes a high-gloss glass-weave backplate accompanied by a brushed stainless steel frame.  They are the thinnest BlackBerry phones to date too, measuring in at only 10.5mm.

The liquid graphics touch screen is the key new feature powered by BlackBerry 7, sensitive to a touch-based navigation for web browsing, pictures, video and graphics.

The 9900 and 9930 smartphones also include built-in support for Near Field Communications.  This enables users to read information from smart tags by simply tapping their phone to an NFC tag, for example a Smart Poster.

A built-in compass is also incorporated into the design which supports location-based services.  With HD video, the new BlackBerry Bold 9900 and 9930 smartphones support up to 720p HD video recording and playback.  All your home videos can be watched in HD, making the viewing experience, and sharing experience via social media, more fantastic.
