Long lenses or zooms do more than just make far off things come closer. With a bit of practise and cunning you can use your zoom to shoot amazing professional looking landscapes, portraits and close ups.

And the best bit is you can do it with your compact ‘point and press’ camera or even a mobile phone if it has a zoom function.

Just set the zoom to its longest setting and away you go… I’ll shut up now – enjoy the video and all will be revealed.
