Japanese tech giant Sony recently announced their $380m acquisition of Cloud based gaming firm Gaikai in a bid to move into the world of cloud based gaming.
But the announcement has come as a bit of a surprise to many seeing as Gaikai only recently announced that they would also be partnering up with LG and Samsung for Smart TV cloud gaming.
Sony playing nice
Despite many thinking that Sony would have issue with this, it seems all is well in the Smart TV camp.
If your lucky enough to own a 2012 Samsung Series 7000 or above, there is a closed beta testing of the Gaikai app on the Samsung Smart Hub and providing you have the latest firmware update.
Should you decide to download it. You’ll be offered the chance to try the early access program and if you happen to be selected, you’ll be provided with a Logitech Gamepad.
