Forget about the iPhone 5, what do we want in the iPhone 6?

It’s been a long time coming, but the wait is finally over. The Apple iPhone 5 has officially landed in stores around the world.

For some dedicated fanboys it has been a case of queuing through the night to be one of the first to get their hands on the flagship device.

More than two million iPhone 5 devices were sold before it even hit the shops, and demand is so high that many orders won’t be met for a couple more weeks.

The iPhone is easily Apple’s best smartphone yet. They’ve finally boosted the screen, and filled the device with a bunch of new features.

There are, however, some drawbacks to the new smartphone. It seems that even Apple isn’t perfect, so we thought we’d look at some improvements the tech giant could make for the iPhone 6.

Better Apple Maps in the iPhone 6

The most obvious place to start is, of course, with Apple Maps. When it comes to iOS 6, all anyone is talking about is the Maps app, which users the world over have been panning since its launch on older iPhone’s earlier this week.

So the iPhone 6 would do well to include a mapping system that doesn’t put towns in the wrong place or ignore them completely. That’s not too much to ask is it?

A bigger screen on the iPhone 6

Apple has finally got around to boosting the screen size to bring the iPhone in line with pretty much every other smartphone out there. Albeit still not as big as Samsung;s Galaxy S3…

The 3.5-inch screen was really starting to look out of date, so the new 4-inch display was a step in the right direction. But we want to see Apple bite the bullet and go for a 4.3-inch or even 4.5-inch screen in the iPhone 6.

NFC on the iPhone 6

We know that Apple likes to do its own thing most of the time and be a trend-setter rather than a trend-follower, so we weren’t surprised not to see NFC in the iPhone 5.

Apple is busy establishing its own mobile wallet in the form of Passbook, but with NFC slowly making its way into the mass market it should surely make an appearance in the iPhone 6.
