Ubisoft have confirmed that the internet whispers are indeed true and that the long awaited Far Cry 3 will be given a delayed release date of November this year.
Far Cry 3 was originally slated for a release in September and although gamers will have to wait an extra few months, Ubisoft reckon it will be well worth the wait.
Ubisoft producer Dan Hay said in a a statement:
“We’re taking more time to create the best possible gameplay experience”
“Far Cry 3 is a huge offering and we want every element of this insane, action-packed adventure to be of the highest possible quality for the players”
Far Cry 3 at E3
In a statement following a successful E3 campaign, Ubisoft stated:
“Today, after a successful showing at E3 that saw the company take home more than 100 awards, Ubisoft provided updated release dates for some of its biggest titles being launched this year”
What the delay to the release also means though, is that the first person shooter will now go head to head with shooters from other publishers including Halo 4, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and Medal of Honor.
Far Cry 3 will be available for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
