Downloading photos from your digital camera with Leopard

Everything you need to know about getting images off your digital camera and onto your computer, using Leopard.

  1. Connect your camera to your computer with the USB cable.
  2. Launch iPhoto – either from your dock, or from the Applications folder. Depending on how your computer is set up, iPhoto might launch automatically.
  3. Click on your camera name under Devices.
  4. Click the Import All button to import everything, or hold the command key and click on specific images you want to import.
  5. iPhoto will ask you if you want to keep the images on your camera after the import has finished.
  6. When you’ve finished, click the Eject button next to your camera’s name. Turn off the camera and disconnect it from the computer.
