BlackBerry Service Getting Better, RIM Very Sorry

It’s not been a good week to own a BlackBerry.

While Apple have been gaining headlines for the iPhone 4S and iOS 5, BlackBerry users have been wondering when normal service will be resumed. In an unusual move, perhaps prompted by their poor explanations so far, RIM founder Mike Lazaridis has issued a video statement.

“We’ve let many of you down”

He starts by apologising for the problem so far. After explaining that services are getting back to normal in Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa, he goes on to explain that RIM is “working tirelessly” to restore normal service. He does warn, however, that there may be some instability while they’re working on the fix.

Finally, Lazaridis signs off with the promise of another update soon.
