Apple TV Purchases to Hit One Million

The new Apple TV has proven to be a hit as sales are expected to hit one million this week following its launch in September.

Many have seemingly rushed out to buy the latest invention from Apple in time for enhanced Christmas television viewing.

The TV offers much more than just the ability to watch live shows, but gives you the simplest way to watch favourite High Definition (HD) movies and TV shows, too.

It streams content from Netflix, YouTube, Flickr and MobileMe with the ability to rent and purchase TV episodes and movies through iTunes.

According to Apple, iTune users are now renting over 400,000 TV episodes and over 150,000 movies a day.

All your Apple gadgets can be linked to your TV so streaming music, videos and photos wirelessly has never been so simple from you iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch.

A Remote app also gives users the ability to control their Apple TV with their iPad, iPhone or iPod touch.

Apple Gadget Range

Following the popular release of the iPad, which sparked a new generation of must-have gadgets for entertainment on the move, Apple has released its MacBook Air, an ultra compact notebook which uses all the best features of their other hit pieces of technology.

It boasts an all-flash storage which gives the user reliability, speed and efficiency to access the data the user needs quickly.  It also has the ability to stay in standby mode for up to 30 days.

The new MacBook Air has a multi-touch trackpad with a buttonless design, incorporating the latest trend of being able to click anywhere.

Users can also pinch, swipe and rotate to adjust an image, while the four-finger swipe enables you to switch among active applications.

In addition to the MacBook Air, other Apple notebooks include the Mac Pro, Mac Mini, MacBook, MacBook Pro, and the iMac.
