Apple iTV – When Will We See It?

The new iPad is just a few days from release, and tech fans the world over are gearing up for what is sure to be a day of frenzied buying.

It is going to be one of the biggest days of the year for Apple fans, apart from the actual launch last week of course. But the world of technology is a fickle one, and many of us will be looking to the next device the moment the cover has been ripped off the first new iPad.

So what will that next product be? Another iPad Touch? The iPhone 5? Or will it be Apple iTV, the long-awaited TV set from the US tech giant?

Some had been expecting the see the iTV at the iPad’s launch last week, although that was a long shot to say the least. So when will we see this exciting new venture for Apple?

Apple iTV Going Into Production?

We’ve had little in the way of detail from Apple about what is happening with its TV set, but that was always to be expected.

But according to US stockbrokers Jeffries, companies involved in the production of the TV sets have started receiving core components.

The components are only being delivered in small numbers for the moment, but the crucial element is that shipment has begun and the ball is now rolling.

Jefferies reckon this means that full-scale production could be getting underway in May or June this year, so when will it be ready?

Apple iTV Launch Date?

This points to a launch date at some point in the fourth quarter of this year – just in time for Christmas. As for what we can expect from the TV set itself, voice activation controls using Siri-style software have been reported, as well as a subscription service of some kind.
