Amazon App Launch for Blackberry

Music lovers are predicted to embrace a new Amazon MP3 app for Blackberry smartphones aimed at enhancing the multimedia experience even more fully.

Phone users who download the new app will have access to Amazon’s entire music catalogue of 14 million songs for download and purchase, with the ability to then comment on them via social networks.

New features include Music Discoverability where Blackberry users can browse Amazon through certain categories to find the music that interests them.

There are also free daily songs available for download and daily album deals with the ability to bookmark certain artists or albums to review prices regularly.

“Amazon MP3 for BlackBerry smartphones makes it fun and easy to get new music,” said Alistair Mitchell, BBM Platform and Integrated Services vice president.

“Users can directly access Amazon MP3’s massive catalogue to easily find, preview and buy music through the BlackBerry media player, and then share their thoughts with their social circle.”

The app also provides the option to preview the song and listen to 30 seconds of the track before buying it, with the added benefit of giving it parental control so content control settings can be adjusted.

Blackberry Curve 8500 Series

The Blackberry Curve 8500 range of smartphones have proved to be immensely popular, with a design that nearly fits in your hand and the ease with which the QWERTY keyboard makes sending messages.

The 320×240 pixel screen also means the phone can display over 65,000 colours – enhancing the ability to view photos and videos via your phone.

A trackpad navigation system makes it easy to access what you use most often and scroll through websites, menus and icons by gliding your finger across it like on a laptop.

The BlackBerry Desktop Software for Mac also allows you to synchronise contacts, calendars and notes to where you need them.

Users can take photos, record videos and access social network sites while on the go, with the addition of GPS and BlackBerry Maps so you can pinpoint your destination and find suitable directions.
