Apple have announced a record result for their App downloads, with figures hitting 10 billion worldwide.

“The App Store has surpassed our wildest dreams,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing.

“While others try to copy the App Store, it continues to offer developers and customers the most innovative experience on the planet.”

The App Store offers consumers more than 350,000 Apps for Apple users in 90 countries around the world, with an additional 60,000 native iPad Apps available also.

The Apps are arranged into 20 different categories, these include games, business, news, sport, health, reference and travel.

Apple App Devices

The most recent App additions include the About Puck Billiards, which is a simple billiard game where users flick a puck (ball) to move up the levels.

The Carbon Footprint Calculator is another cool addition to help us all monitor how green we are. The App estimates how many trees are need to offset your carbon footprint, and it is based on a number of daily lifestyle elements.
